Mini Tillandsias

Scott Bar, CA(Zone 6a)

I'm not really a Bromilliad person but have been picking up the tiny .99 plants where I see them and filling up a piece of wood I picked up along the way. I was delighted to see a bloom this morning and decided to share. I have no clue as to species. I do have a couple of larger Broms and find that they are a great accent in any grouping of my cacti and succulents. :o)

Very artistic Bill!! Some tillandsia blooms if you go really close to them have a nice fragrance...our Spanish Moss here in the south has a faint smell...such tiny blooms too! sue

Hi Chantell and Sue! Thanks for your notes. I checked for aroma but either I have a weak nose or it has a weak smell--lol. My big deal right now is watching my Epi open its first ever bloom. It is just now dusk and this is what it looks like. :o)

It took an hour to go from the first pic to this. The fragrance is awsome. No smell at all in the first pic but when fully open one could smell it even outside the GH. The flower was 9" across! I'm posting a series of shots on Epi Forum.
