well, hot for us here...I have been moving them around the house following the sun...driving everyone crazy, by the way :) Just need to know if they can handle full sun here all day, now that it's getting stronger?
Now that it's getting hot....
great, thank you.
Sure they can, but if your plants have been inside all winter, they might need some acclimating first. You don't have to chase the sun all day though if you don't want to. Six hours is full sun so 6:00 a.m. to noon or noon until 6:00 p.m. will work too. I don't think more is necessarily better, but 12 hours of full sun will dry your mix out quicker and cause you to water more often.
Oh...ok...so as long as they get 6 hours minimum...that's good to know for when they get too big to drag around. I did have to stake them though....but I s'pose they'll get stronger as they get older. Thank you both. Hubby said he didn't worry about his kids as much as I worry over these plumerias.....
Yes, you don't have to drag them around. Just put them in the sunniest warmest spot you have, and they will do great. If they are floppying around or crooked, you can stake them, but you won't need the stake after a while and can remove it at the next repotting.
I also move mine around, I have my containers resting on wheel rolling thingys, that I got from big lots, they really come in handy, and so much easier to move around.
