I havn't seen any Hummingbirds in my yard yet. Has anyone else?
Who has Hummingbirds?
Oh, my. Do you have your feeders up? Any red tubular type flowers in the garden?
We have had HBs for about a month or more. Regular feeder visitors. If you want to check on HB Migration here is the map and info link--

Good luck! t.
I have so many at my house I'm going to have to go buy a couple more feeders (I have two already and they are VERY crowded all day long). I use the el-cheapo model from Wally World--red cap and red reservoir with yellow "flowers" and clear glass in the middle. I tried a real pretty one that's made of a coppery looking stuff (was quite expensive) and they all just snubbed it--went right to the cheap ones.
Well, me too. Went to Walmart and got 2 of the easy to clean plastic ones that Magpye recommended. The HBs love it and ignore the blown glass one. Oh, well. It's fun to have them around again....
thats good to know, I have had several visiting in the morning - evening... but certainly not enough to refill every day - WOW ! I wish.
Hi all! I hope you don't mind me joining in your conversation? I am usually hanging out at the Hosta forum. But, I'm being invaded by honey bees on my hummingbird feeders this year. Do you have any suggestions on how to get rid of the bees? They are actually chasing off the hummingbirds, orioles and woodpeckers from the feeders! Aggressive little things!
I hope that you can help me out....

I have yellow jackets on my feeders - I know there is a trick to keep them off, ... vaseline/oil? I can't remember and I wouldn't want to hurt the hummers. I'm sure someone will let us know.
Maybe I'm wrong but was it spraying the feeder with regular Pam (not the baking type)?
I think we should start a new thread asking this question, just so we don't hurt any birds... I'm sure there is an effective safe remedy.... : ) maybe it is Pam ?
Okay, I started a new thread.
