Thanks, Resin! You'll be happy to know that the birds that sing to me every day have been IDed as bobolinks. And yesterday they flushed out of our tall grasses, so they are nesting here for the first time!

Wow! Very nice!

From what I've read, this species is declining seriously in many areas due to agricultural intensification (pesticides killing the insects they eat, herbicides killing the wild flower seeds they eat, and GM crops eradicating both insects and wildflowers), so that's really good you have them. Never seen one myself, I couldn't find any on my US trips.
