CLOSED: looking for delosperma (ice plant) mesa verde

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

I'm looking for looking for delosperma (ice plant) mesa verde. I got 5 of them from High Country Gardens and they are doing swell but the area I was hoping to cover is really large compared to five plants. And now HCG is sold out! I'll trade anything - well, nobody seemed to want my firstborn child last time. But anything else....

Carrie - just an FYI (sure you know this already but just in case) these things spread like mad...I had to cut mine back last year multiple times...then pulled it thinking it wasn't hardy...ugh!

Well, that's just what I was hoping they would do, but so far, not much even new growth. Was yours 'mesa verde'?

Yikes...post a pic for me, I'll let you know. I wasn't picky with those...just grabbed ones that had a color I'd like.

They're terracotta colored.

Not purple, pink, magenta or yellow :>)

No wonder you want more...what a unique color...VERY pretty!

Yes, plus it's supposed to bloom more often or constantly.

HCG are in Santa Fe, NM, and in many many paint catalogs it's called Santa Fe pink or Santa Fe sunset or Santa Fe adobe. I think HCG may even have developed it.

I kept seeing that in the catalogs, too. Very pretty.

If you don't get a trade offer, you can google it, and find multiple online vendors that still have it.

This is a current ebay auction that had a better price than the retailers, and very reasonable shipping.

My Gosh, I'm on eBay all the time. I guess I never thought to look for them there - they're pretty new. BTW, High Country Gardens now says they have them in stock!

Thank you for doing what I should have done to begin with!
