Heavy Metal - first bloom

Lufkin, TX(Zone 8b)

I ordered this from Hidden Valley in February and it arrived about three weeks ago. It was somewhat pricey, but I think I had a bad case of spring fever at the time. I bought a couple others but this is the first to bloom.

Great looking bloom! HVH is a bit higher than most for their plants, but I don't mind paying the extra since their quality is top-notch.

Kyle, I purchased a little Saffron at the open house and just potted it up this morning - no buds on mine yet, so if you ordered a larger one than 4" I bet you'll have a picture ready before me ;-)

My mom is really coveting HVH's Lady in Waiting, so I'm gonna place an order for this one and a 4" Pina Colada for her birthday in a couple weeks :-) Gotta order a Rosalind from David at Touch of the Tropics too since she said she's also dying for a nice orange. My Rosalind has been an absolute bloom machine.

Mine were 4 inch too. won't take too long with the summer weather to get em to bloom. :-)

Yeah, that's what I figured too. They only had one 6", so I let my mom get it :-)

What others did you order?

Thats the only two so far.

Beautiful bloom, so pretty that I have on. Isn't it just so pretty with the two color combinations? It had a bloom yesterday. The rains are really making all my plants happy.

I also ordered High Voltage and Georgia's Pearl. The Pearl has bloomed but High Voltage was a little upset about its new environment and we had some bud drop.

I like this one, too. My hibiscus from Hidden Valley are a bit of time from blooming, but looking good.
