I almost lost my precious baby boy MoMo this evening. I often let the three dogs run around outside when I am out there and they have gotten into the habit of wandering off for a short time just doing dog stuff. We are in a good area that is a short distance from the city limits but enough in the country that my property is mostly wooded and not heavily traveled. I had put the two girls back in the house but MoMo was still snuffling along near me so I went back to puttering around. I heard a car slow down and stop so I walked along to find out if they needed anything. They did all right! My son MoMo! My neighbor saw them try to pick him up and heard one of the people in the car say "That is a cool looking dog! I think we should take it!" My neighbor said he went over to his car and slammed the car door and just crossed his arms at them and gave them an evil stare and they jumped back in their car. I got there just in time to see them take off. My neighbor gave me a license number but he wrote it down incorrectly and the police say there is nothing they can do without it since I had never seen the car or the people in it before. I am SO thankful that my neighbor was there. The whole incident only took a few minutes so I would not have been able to stop them if they would have been able to grab my precious boy.
Thank God for good neighbors..........
