I am thinking of puting in a water garden but it would be a long way from a source of electricity. I was wondering if anyone had ever used a solar water pump and if they worked very well and what kind would be good to purchase. I have not planned the pond design yet as I am still working on the pump. If a solar pump will not work out then I may have to scrap the whole project. grammy
solar water pumps??
We have one at my work. It does not have a battery, so it only runs when it is sunny, but that is fine for our purposes. However, our next solar pump for a different pond will probably have a battery so it can run on cloudy days as well.
I've gone with Sierra Solar out of California. They guys are pretty nice and helpful there. Website is: http://www.sierrasolar.com
Thanks for the info Marisa. Eleanor
