What Happened to Birds?

Kingwood, WV(Zone 5b)

What would cause all of my humming birds to disappear? I cleaned their feeders every two days and fill it with fresh nectar. Help!

You probably just had migrators and the ones that stay haven't arrived yet.

I had about 10 hummers....3 males, the rest females. I have had a cat hanging around...but I can't imagine that he could get all of them, but if he killed a couple would the rest move on?

Its normal for the ones on their way up north to stop and rest for a while at places on their way. I agree with pell, they were prebably just migrators.

We saw our first up here this past weekend.

I've had 4 here but the longest stay was 2 days.

I live in Williamsburg, VA. When I was at the Wild Birds Unlimited Store, the employees were talking about hummingbirds. They had mentioned that they hadn't seen any for the last week or two. I realized that I hadn't either.

Their agreed with a previous poster: the earlier ones were still migrating ones.

I finally had one this morning after a week and a half without seeing any.
