A friend is having a devil of a time with this, he calls it Peach tree leaf curl. I think it's Blister.
What is it exactly and how do we treat it. He has started using Copper sulfate for this and BT for the caterpillars. Next will be Neem for aphids.
He asked me to ask here. Is there a good source of info on this that I can show him? He has no computer.
Thanks
Andy P
Peach tree 'blister'?
Andy, it's Peach Leaf Curl, caused by a fungus called Taphrina deformans. There's not much your friend can do about it now. The tree will put out a new set of new leaves. Copper sulfate won't do much this late in the season. A mixture of at least 50% copper is recommended during the winter months before leaves emerge — at least 3 sprays. Once they emerge it is too late to prevent the curl. He needs to make sure the tree stays healthy this summer.

Thank you very much, BettyDee.
Had exactly the same on my nectarine and peach trees last year. Did copper sulfate spray 3x during the dormant months and had no recurrence this year.
Thanks, Bag
