brugmansia coming back from freeze
congratulations! That looks like it was a large brug lat year! What color? They are a lot tougher than we think. I had a little cutting just rooted in a 1 liter soda bottle of dirt.. left it outside and it froze big time... even had a coating of ice on all leaves and stems.. it is growing like a weed now!

It was a big bush - I wish had downloaded the pictures before my laptop fried! It's a pink insignis (sp?), and last summer it was about 6 feet tall and about 8 feet wide. sigh. But it's coming back pretty quickly, and I saw flower buds on it this morning. My Charles Grimaldi is also coming back - about 8" high now, so happy days are even happier. Even my datura has come back, yay!

That's wonderful! I bet you're absolutley thrilled!
I am , I am Teresa. We seldom get weather like that, and my usual cold weather tactics didn't work. Even my fishpond was frozen over. We really mostly have one kind of natural disaster here - the summer. Since it comes every year we have tried and true methods to deal with it - lots of water, air conditioning for people, shadescreen for many plants, daytime hibernation, etc...

I have to ask what your name means! all great dogs? Do you have dogs?
I have three dogs (two naughty little min pin girls, and one very good boy Aussie), and have been a dog trainer, off and on, since I was a kid. I actually started off at age 7 with a wonderful border collie. Chipper was so smart he was probably training me. Anyhow, he gave me a lot of confidence, was a wonderful friend and helped me through my parents divorce which jerked my brother, sister and I back and forth. When my dad ran away with us Chipper was my anchor. Chipper was 13 when he died - I think he hung on those last 2 years to make sure I would be ok
