Morning Glory Pink Mt.Fuji 'Fuji no Momo' (Ipomoea nil)
This Japanese MG image appears to be a cross of Split Personality and Pink Mt. Fuji ('Fuji no Momo').
Pure Fuji no Momo, in my experience, does not have this much red/magenta in it- it is paler--as in the pics of this plant by Emma.
The deeper red/magenta color in this flower, and the noticeably split petals, very probably came from a 'Split Personality' parent plant.
Fuji no Momo, in my experience, does not usually have a hollow white star in the center like this has. Instead of a star, Fuji no Momo has solid white bands arranged like the spokes of a wagon wheel.
Fuji no Momo also tends to not have so much split between its petals as this plant has. It may show some petal splitting, just not usually quite this much.
Lovely cross of Mt. Fuji shown here, though!! :)

Ron told me to put it in here as fuji no momo, I suggest your address this with him.

Please note, I didn't say this flower should not be placed under Fuji no Momo. I agree with Ron about putting the pic here. That is fine, as this flower is at least 50% Fuji no Momo, possibly more than that. :)
I only said this looks to be a crossing of Fuji no Momo and something else, based on my experience and based on apparent characteristics. Didn't know that sharing my MG experience here would open up a can of worms, LOL!
I am not going to contact Ron over such details, especially since he and I agree the pic belongs here. I have more important things to do. If you want to bug Ron, go for it. But I bet he also has more important things to do than discuss this MG flower, since after all he is a MG expert and likely pretty busy. I respect Ron for his reputation, knowledge, and credentials.
P.S.- Gardeners who are not degreed scientists may also have very valid and accurate expertise to share about plants and gardening. :)

You bet. I'm glad you think so highly of Ron. Sometimes I don't agree with too many sellers, they will say and do anything for a sale and I don't respect that.
P.S. there are some very good hybridizers that ACTUALLY create new hybrids, they do not just isolate morning glories from seeds they get from others.
Other than that, please enjoy all the photos here and have a great day. There is no need to comment further as far as I am concerned. Thank you for your comments.
