sand spurs

Gallion, AL

I have sand spurs covering my lawn. Someone suggested that I try this forum to find out how to kill these monsters. I know they will die out before long, but is there a way to kill them for good?

I found an article for you. The article has lots of info. It is going to take more than 1 application to get rid of the burs. If you use the pre-emergent in addition to the post-emergent herbicides, you'll have better success.

Thanks, the article was very helpful. I am afraid that it is too late to kill all of them this year.
I am still going to spray them as suggested. I am not sure of all of those names given to the pesticides. I will have to look on the container.
thanks again.
