Newbie here

Ok, you have hooked me with all these beautiful pictures! I ordered 2 brugs last night and today I mixed up the potting mix. I ordered 'Dr. Seuss' (for my daughter who teaches Head Start and probably has every Dr. Seuss book there is) and Verdie Peach. DD and DS live on the No. Calif. coast around Eureka. A few yrs. ago I saw a brug at the house behind DS's that was over the top of the garage. A beautiful yellow/orange. After living on the coast for 25 yrs. we moved here to the high desert zone and I'm still trying to figure out what I can grow other than pine trees and sage brush. So, my babies will live in pots and come inside for the winter. I have been reading, reading, and reading this forum and it is wonderful ( and the people seem great too). I hope you're prepared for lots of questions, because this is a totally new planting adventure for me.

Welcome, Bonnie! Last year I was just like you with 2 brugs and totally new! Never even heard of them before last May. Now I have over 70 thanks to the generous people here at Dave's! They love to trade and share. I will be sharing my brugs this fall when it is time to cut them down, provided they make it through the Texas Summer!

There are lots of nice people here with a lot of knowlege to share. Just read and ask questions!

Happy Gardening! :)

Welcome to the wonderful world of Brugs Bonnie! Be warned.. they can teach you new levels of patience though.. like it or not. LOL I hope they give you the joy they give me!

Great analogy, Ted :)

Welcome to the forum, Bonnie. Just ask away. Questions keep a lot of things going much better ... both us, the forum, garden and our Brugmansia LOL

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I can't wait to get my brug babies. I'm ready! (is my impatience showing..lol). I might even have to reconsider giving the Dr.S to my DD. At least until it's old enough to get a cutting from it. Uh oh...is it starting already? I don't even have them yet ;)

Welcome to the forum, Bonnie. Yes, the addiction can start that soon. I've had it for two years!
