Home made ice cream.

I have an ice cream freezer which makes a gallon and I have had so much fun lately trying various flavors. So far I have made a couple of batches of marionberries and one chocolate. Next I will try raspberry , may be a peach. yum

My recipe is one that my mother always made;

Beat 5 to 6 eggs with 2 cups of sugar till thick and frothy and then add 2 to 3 tablespoons vanilla. I use then 1 quart half and half and then fill the canister to the fill line with milk. For the marion berry flavor I add a thickened sweetened 2 cups of berries. Put in your ice cream maker and crank away or let electric do the work for you. Of course as a kid we always had raw milk and lots of cream with farm fresh eggs which was really healthy but this is pretty good too.
