Need tree seeds

Ashdown, AR(Zone 8a)

Please check my wishlist. I'm doing a walking path on a very large empty campus of an old school just put back into use and city park project.

I had an extensive "have" list but it mysteriously disappeared and I don't have time right now to re-post it so let me know what your looking for.

Did your 'have' list disappear when the new trade list system came on line? Mine did.

I wish I could send you some acorns, but, our trees are not hardy outside the Gulf coast.

beautiful tree Dale.

Red, I would be happy to save some maple seeds from the trees here in Maine. I think they are the only ones on you list I have here. No trade necessary. Cyndie

Dale,
Mine disappeared and was replaced with stuff I don't even have. I think there's 2 or 3 other bigred's on DG and one of the others must have gotten my page by mistake and changed it before they realized they were on the wrong page. Just speculation not accussations because my other info remained the same. Not anything that can't be fixed....and thanks for the offer,we have several types of oaks here.

Cyndie,
I realized after I posted,I should have waited until later in the year when trees have mature seeds/nuts. I'd appreciate any seeds you could send me.

bigred, I can't offer any of the seeds you are looking for on your list - but I can offer my admiration for what sounds like a great project. Over on the PNW thread we have been running a lively discussion about planting out trees (inspired by Wangari's Billion Tree project) - and this is the sort of project that gets goosebumps going up our gardening arms. sounds great - hope you will post photos before and after - all the best.

threegardeners,
When I checked it says"bigred's want list". Don't know why your seeing "have".

Laurie,
It is a big project.Hope we can generate enough community volunteers when we finally get it started. I've only installed one flowerbed around their sign so far. I plan on drawing up a plan this winter to submit so maybe we can get a little help from forestry. I need to take some before pictures.

The Hackberry's are full of seeds/berries right now. I'll pull some off soon and if you could send a small SASBE, I'll get them dried a little so they eon't mold and they'll be on their way. Write on the back of the envy HACKBERRy, as I have several folks sending envies for seeds. Thanks!

Judy,
Do you know the chinese tallow tree's botanical name? We're trying to stick to the forestry's list of recommended trees and I don't see it on the list but maybe we call it something different.

Chiinese Tallow trees have been put on a bad list here. They are very invasive and messy trees. We have been told not to plant them in fla.
I have Candle tree and Flamboyant trees if anyone wants the seeds. Also Shower trees I have seeds for all of these.Fran
