Hello everyone. You must all be busy outside. We had company until after lunch. I took the kids for horseback rides yesterday and today hitched up the driving horse and took them for cart rides. All the kids identify with the "Little House on the Prairie" and enjoy the bumpy ride behind the horse. The parents like it too. Since they left I have been in the garden pulling those weeds. The worst one we call buttonweed, it reminds me of perennial geraniums, maybe they are related. This is the bad cousin! The other prolific one is redroot pigweed, also making seed heads. I hauled a large wheelbarrow load out to the burn pile. You would think if I did that once every day I would eventually get ahead of them. That would be nice, but as usual they are way ahead of me, it happens every year. I have green beans ready to pick, and one brocolli head is getting huge but shows no sign of opening flowers. I'll fix a chicken stir fry with brown rice for supper, keeping it simple and low calorie/low fat for hubby's diet. Last night he had dessert, the first time in quite a while. The house smells like peaches, the food dryer is working on a load we put in this morning. A neighbor gave me apricots so they will be next. Hope everybody had a nice weekend, count your blessings.
