I read somewhere someone grows Columnea Light prince?

Claremont, NC

I'm not sure where I read it, but whoever it was had it in natural light and moved it to artificial, where it was doing better.
I was wondering how it was doing? I am thinking about getting one. Is it a picky one?

Thank you,
Sandi

That would be me ;0) Light Prince is doing so much better under the lights. It seems this plant likes higher light levels for more compact growth and prettier variegation. It's not picky and cuttings root quickly.

Thank you so much, I guess I will get it. I love anything with variegation.

WOW!!!!! Now I really have greenhouse envy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been threatening to build one, but we really have to move the air through greenhouses down here (cooling pads don't even work here). The humidity is too high and the weather too hot.................sure could have a good time in the winter months.............

Hmmm... I can see why you want that one!
