Okay heres a good One! This is one of the Black Japanese Bantams, .... A rooster? He arrived here on March 11. My Silkie Hen, Purdy, layed her first eggs and I have been waiting for her to set!!!! Well I guess this little Rooster decided he would show her how it was done!!! Uh...., Metro- sexual....maybe????? or just one of those Bossy males that have to show us women how to do everything??? LOL!!!!
Now this is just plain Confusing???
Hhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe at 8 wks he has fond memories of the nest and is waiting for mommy to come back for him...lol

Or maybe , since he was hatched incubator style, he is giving his own form of protest Huh?
You sure that's a rooster, Tracey!? LOL
Well, I found this story from China about a rooster laying eggs, which you can take with a grain or salt or not. :>)

My he thinks he a silkie Roo, I have read a couple of stories of them stealing a nest and hatching out the chicks! Or is he a Hen in Roos feathers???
How many eggs are there in the nest?
Well, I put a Bantie egg in the nest to give the Silkie the idea that it would be a good place to lay he eggs. It worked! She laid two eggs and this little Japanese roo decided to keep them for himself! He actually got in the nest the second day after she laid the second egg. Now the Hen refuses to get into the nest because hes there! So I had to take him out! Im just hoping that now my Hen will continue to lay there! We'll see today. As you all can see I was so confused and worried that I couldnt sleep well tonight! Its only 3:30 AM and Im up and writing you about it! We let the silliest things bother us sometimes , dont we??
Eu,
That is to funny ... Good of the Rooster to show us ladys and guys... LOLOLO...

That's funny, little guy wants to be a mom. My silkie rooster is a wonderful father, when I put down treats he calls them just like there mama and they all go running over to him. I need to get some new pictures. He picks up the treat and drops it in front of them like the mama's do. So much fun to watch. And let me tell you, if I pick up one of the babies and they squeal like a pig, he's right there letting you know he's not happy. He starts out pecking my feet, then trys to flog me, little whipper snapper.
