Need help rooting crotons
Hi Gale, Lucky you!!! I love crotons and they are so easy. Just wet the stem, I use Dip n Grow but used rootone for years and lately I've been putting them in H2O2 water. I change the water out once a week and watch those little roots grow. Once there is a thick little mass of roots I pot up in a pot for a month or two and then out into the yard. I like to give them a chance to adjust before the hot sun and drought that is going on in my backyard.
Hope this helps you!!! Yesterday, I potted up in dirt some crotons I got a while back. They had a nice mass of roots.

Hi Jeri,
Thank s for the infor,
What is H202 Water
I think I will try to root them
in the H202 Water.
Gale
Hi Gale, H2O2 water is a gallon of water with 1-2 capfuls of peroxide mixed in. Just fill your container with the mixture and you should have good roots within 2 months. I usually change the water out about every 2 weeks. Then I pot them up and let them adjust out of the hot sun for a month or two before moving them into the yard. By the end of summer they are about 4' tall. I normally do this in November and by the last freeze in Feb. or March they are ready to go into the ground.
