deadheading

Hey everyone!! Hope this finds you well!

I have numerous hibiscus and seems that since I have started deadheading the finished blooms, the whole plant seems to be getting "leggy". Absolutely covered with new blossoms everyday, but that is all I see, blooms and branches...no real core leaves...any ideas? thanks in advance,

John, sounds like the plant is expending all its energy on flowers instead of leaves,try a little nitrogen based fertilizer,Doubt if the deadheading is doing the lack of leaves.
