In a great batch of Iris pseudacorus (Yellow Flag) there was
one bud with a reddish tint on the bud. Today it revealed that
it is going to be purple.
As the plants are living in my pond, I would imagine this is not
a bearded, it is my understanding bearded Iris cannot function in
a pond setting.
So could anyone tell me what I do have? Is there a purple pseudacorus?
It is not Louisiana, as we have tons of that, and I recently acquired this
little beauty.
Many thanks,
Karen Marie
P.S. No pic, as the camera died this evening. Perhaps tomorrow or the
next day it will bloom.
Whoops. A purple one snuck into the batch...Iris pseudacorus
There are purple or blue flag irises. Iris Versicolor I believe.
Ah, thank you so much!
