Where do purchase your plants?

Fredericksburg, VA(Zone 7a)

I am just wondering where people most purchase a cultivar they want, if they don't receive it by trade or gift. I was looking at a 'Chocolate Velour' episcia today on eBay, and I really like it! Now don't get me wrong, I have had overall good luck with my eBay plant purchases. But I have read enough of your threads to know that y'all have particular vendors you deal with, and I know you get a better price, than from eBay. So please, especially the episcia growers, where can I get the best deal on a nice 'Choc. Velour'.

As always, thank you...

I agree with Snowrose. LL is a very dependable vendor with a large selection.

Thank you both... I will definitely check them out.

I get mine mostly at www.violetbarn.com. They are smallish but they grow well in my home. I also go to www.bluebirdgreenhouse.com. They have a good variety and they are big.

I pre-ordered 15 rooted episcia stolons and 30 or so from Belisle back in late winter. They emailed me,that they had all I ordered and would let me know when they were ready to ship so I could call in my cc info. I emailed them twice in April if my order was ready and should I call them w/pymt info. Here it is almost June and they've never responded to either emails. Guess they've got plenty of money and don't need mine.

I'll stick with Lyndon Lyons from now on.

bigred,
I think the problems with your order from B's is a blessing in disguise. Be glad to have saved your money as what they send is dumpster worthy. Lyndon Lyons will make you happy. By the way, did you get any interesting episcias from your seedlings?

Snowrose

I'm still watching a little over a dz. plants. The others I've been potting up and selling at farmers market for $3.50.

I sure would like to see them, bigred. Are you 'watching' your favorites? I have some episcia seed I need to sow. Maybe tonight. That will be fun to watch grow as the seedlings are so unpredictable.

Yup,there's 13 I call my favorites I'm watching. Had a lot more but I culled them down to these 13 as they've grown.

Lots of luck with your seeds. Keep us posted on your results.

I'll get a pix of the 13 as soon as I've had another couple pots of coffee.

Looking forward to seeing them....
