Ok,I give up! I know I have butterflies,I've had Monarch cats on my milkweed but I can't find eggs or cats. Plenty signs of munching but I'm just not finding them....so I want to buy some cats. Where can I get them?

Purchasing cats
Don't give up yet! When you look at your plants and see the eggs just clip that leaf and bring it in!!

Donna, that reminds me of when I first started looking for eggs and cats. I would look every day, under every leaf, around every chewed little hole, and would tell my DH how I thought I should be able to find at least one egg! Finally, my DH, who is the logical trouble shooter of the family, said....."Are you wearing your glasses out there?". I laughed, but then realized he could be right....and he was. Once I put them on, I could see those little tiny cats that were close to the chewed hole. LOL It was a sad day when I had to admit I couldn't see close up very well sniff sniff.
I know I'm blind as a bat (up close) so I never go anywhere without my glasses.Guess I'm just not as patient as the rest of you egg and cat hunters.
I've decided, next year hub's is going to screen in one side of the porch on my shop for a butterfly house so I can take any precious eggs or cats in for protection.....and so I can watch them and enjoy them then release them.

Yeah Peggy,
But girlfriend,, this year has only begun yet. Waiting is a gardner's best thing. We have to wait on seeds to germinate, plants to bloom, same with this. Keep it planted and they will come. You will be swimming in cats by July.
Deb:-)
Forgot to say~~ A TST laid eggs on my Cherry tree today, and I couldn't see the eggs. I use a magnifying glass out in the yard to look for things... it works very well!
