I've got more that I will post tomorrow after I shoot them.

(Zone 11)

Hi dangitgirl,
I'll take a guess on 3 out of 4 of them.

First one looks like "Red President" http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/46577/index.html

second one I don't know at all...

third one looks like "Seminole Pink" http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/47253/index.html

And the last one looks like "Carolina Breeze" http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/63712/index.html

Dave the 3 you named are just "normal" hibiscus right?

(Zone 11)

The red and the pink are very common around here(Florida). The orange one I havent seen as much in peoples yards but its still pretty. I guess you could call them normal, the common ones are usually refered to as GV's (garden varieties), as opposed to CV's
(cultivated varieties) which I believe are the fancier new ones...

Cool... Yeah I have been pretty interested in the hibiscus. I guess for the "will to live", cause I can't kill them! But I love the different colors.

Pretty! Love the orange one.

#2 looks like 'Cherie'

Carolina breeze #4 is one of my favorites even though it has small flowers.Almost blinding color!

Those are beautiful, dangit - you guys are lucky - those won't overwinter here :-(

No, they will not overwinter outside but I have kept mine in the garage between shelf units .. plastic hanging over and on the shelves. ...sort of like a mini greenhouse...I have a flourescent light over it and use a small space heater on the coldest nights. I have kept it this way for several years. It does well all winter then loses all its leaves just as spring begins. I move it outside and it grows well. This is its 5 th yr. I actually have 4 plants in this pot. The pic is from last year. I just potted it up to a larger pot. sp[arse on leaves.. this is early in the year... they started as those really tiny ones from walmart... I mean tiny.
