My Bauhinia purpurea in central Florida rarely look this full EVER... but I keep it around because of the gorgeous flowers it bares and I can't stand cutting anything down. But how can I get it this full, if not all year around then most of the year? I water it with reclaimed sprinkler system water for about 30 minutes in that zone three times a week and it gets some shade in the morning and full sun in the afternoon. Right now, after it bloomed gorgeous white with purple pigment flowers it looks dorment, like it was fall in Jersey... any suggestions PLEASE???

This tree is at my Florida home. We go at different times of the year. This picture was taken in early March. It does drop many of it's leaves in October but bounces back by early February. Some years I think it is going to die but it seems to be a tuff little tree. It gets no extra water. Basically it is on its own.
