new blooms

Geneva, FL(Zone 9b)

Mine have started late this year and I have inlfos for days! However, these are the first to open:

1. Orange Rainbow (from Singapore--similar flower to Penang Peach, but very mild fragrance; leaves are much moreselnder with no hook on the tip---poor brancher with slender branches).
2 Buds California Sally--mild fragrance so far...
3. Forma lutea--another from Singapore--huge 5 inch flowers with a wonderful, sweet, "fresh & clean" sort of scent.
4. Phet Pachara--this beauty has the best fragrance I have smelled yet on any Thai plumie--intense, floral-jasmine scent. Absolutely heavenly!
5. Rose of the Tropics-- very strong sweet frgagrance sort of like if you mixed roses and spices together, Very nice!
6. Daeng Sayem- I just cannot get the red corectly, nor the lovely golden center with my camera --anyway, the scent reminds me of some sort of candy.
7. New Mele Pa Bowman--just openened--a rather small flower, but smelles wonderful, just the same.
8. Barbados Showgirl--this one just keeps getting better and better. Nice sweet fragrance.

I have to say--hands down--Phet Pachara is one of the most heavenly fragrant plumies I have yet to experience. I rate it up there-- EASILY-- with Aztec Gold, Vera Cruz Rose, Singapore, and Gold Coast Peachy. That creamy, sweet fragrance should be bottled as perfume! Sort of like a gardenia--almost good enough to eat. LOL My mother was here on Mother's Day and was taken aback with the scent. She has seen many plumies here at my place, but she really liked this one.
