Would you please try to post photos again. Yours are sort of blurry and plant parts are blending together in the images. So many plants look alike that it's best to get a good shot at the veins, leaf margins, and such. Sometimes I have the best luck if I sit down by a plant to take a photo. That helps me avoid camera shake and gives me a chance to use the auto focus button better.

sorry try these- i think they are better...

Artemisia vulgaris? It's way too hard to tell from your photo but that might be it. Please take a few of the leaves and bring them inside by your computer to try a google image search and poke around and compare what you see on line with what you have. If it A. vulgaris, that's rhizomatic and it's going to become a big thorn in your side. It's a rapid colonizer. If this is what you have, try to find a product with clopyralid as the active ingredient.

Let's try new photos of the first plant please.

thanks, i looked this up and it is not artemisia vulgaris- thank heavens. i'll try again with pix when i'm in garden this weekend, appreciate your help.

this one actually looks much like a chrysanthemums leaf only it grows everywhere.

Say, why don't you use the very last photo you posted in this thread, then get yourself some new photos and start a thread here-

I don't have a lot of knowledge in the weed department, but we call this the "mum" weed. Yes, because it looks like a chrysanthemum. It's everywhere, here on Long Island.
The only way we get rid of it is to pull what you can and spray it with "Round Up". Sorry for the use of chemicals.....
I have a big problem with violets in my back yard lawn.
