are all peppers edible? even the ornamental ones? my hubby bought a couple and we have no clue as to whats what. thanks

As long as its a pepper (Capsicum) some of the ornamentals are hot without much else in the way of flavor. Watch out for the Jerusalem Cherry, which is sometimes sold as an ornamental pepper. It is poisonous. http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/54393/index.html
it is a small purple longish thing. sorta looks like a small purple chile pepper. will take pics tommorow. then the other is sorta a light yellow.
