Anyone had success growing Golden Chain Trees in S.E.,NC ?

Hello to you all.....
I am curious to know if anyone has had sucess growing the Golden Chain Tree in southeastern NC? I think this is a beautiful tree, but it is more abundant in northern areas as it does not like tropical or subtropical environments. The Golden Rain Tree which will grow here is a warmer climate tree, much larger and to me not quite as pretty. I currently have two, two-year old chain trees that I am trying to grow. Also, does anyone know how old these trees have to be before they begin flowering in the spring?

Plant files has some information. Unless people are confusing it with something else, it grows from zone 5 - 9.
