Well after getting in touch with the company, sending invoices for the ones I purchased, and pictures of the plants I lost I recieved a check for $200 not enough to cover all I lost but did for the ones I had invoices for, the company had to recall all the spray, it seems they had put a concentrate weed killer in the wrong container. Where I had over 100 Brugs I am down to twelve that are struggling to survive, I got those planted out in the ground, and now they say we will have temps. in the low 30s on Friday night, is this a sign I should give up Brugs. ?
Being stubborn I do have ten seeds planted, in peat pots and 6 seedlings growing, and thanks to a great DG member Ada, I have a Tiara, this time last year I was posting pictures, this year I have to be content to see all of yours.

Remember my WARNING!!!!!!
What a terrible thing to happen. What kind of spray was this anyway? I sure don't want to ever purchase from this company, whoever they were.
Sorry you've had such bad luck. Hang in there.
I am sorry to hear, that you have lost so many. No it is absolutely not a sign, that you should give up Brugmansia. We are all challenged one way or another. Some by stangelbrand, some with virus. Back in 2003 I used sphagnum peat moss in my pots and most of them had nutrient deficiencies and later rottet away. Another year frost killed most of mine. It feels terrible right now. I know, but in the worst case scenario you have only been set back one season, so back onn the saddle again. I cross my fingers, that some of the Daver's can spare you a few cuttings to get you started again.

Thanks for encouragement Tony but I will be 81 this July just hope I get to see another Brug. season *S*
Bless your heart Doris! I hope you see 15 or 20 more brug seasons! I am an enabler of the addiction you know.. I'll do my part to keep you hooked. (You have Dmail) :-)
Bless your heart Doris!! Gardening is what keeps you young, if knees/hips don't give out on you.

So sorry to hear about the terrible misfortune that killed your brugmansia. I can only imagine how this has made you feel. Hopefully the plants you have left will smile on you.

What a nice message, Shadowgirl - an old acquaintance of mine who was 92 planted 100 Boxwood cuttings along the walk leading up to her entranceway - do you know how long it takes a boxwood to grow??
Doris, I thought you were in your 40's or 50's. You must be a
young 80. God bless you for your kind spirit and the blessing you've been to others including me.
Jackie
Thank you patootie, your right I sure don't feel over 40 *S*
Oh, how awful for you--do tell us the name of this spray so we don't buy it! Hopefully they recalled them all, but just in case...
The spray was Eliminator, for for flowers and house plants.
Yikes!!! Appropriate name....thanks for letting us know, and again, so sorry for your huge loss.
I don't know which ones survived and I don't have a lot of Brugs with material enough to cut but if you do not have (and want), I have a ton of Frosty Pink and some 'Double White' I can send you material for cuttings if you like. Buckle down and protect your Brugs. The weather is crazy these days. I don't think it's bad luck as far as the weather goes but a new way we have to deal with these days so hang in there and let me know if you would like some cutting materials. DM me!
