I was on my way from picking up my gardening help when I noticed a big sign. Free to good home. Well well it was a huge water lilly and purple cannas. I was able to make 3 big plants and I had not touch the cannas.Happy ponding!!! Bellie

A gentleman is selling his house and he has a beautiful backyard, 4' deep koi pond with imported Koi from Japan and big gold fish that all fancy tails. Well can you believe the pond is killing the sell of the house...so he got rid of the fish. My friend got the big imported koi about 3' - 4' long but she has a HUGE pond. While I got all the fancy tail gold fish about 2' that are now spawning.

I got 5 big ones...:) and now her dad wants to give me some of small gold fish all fancy tails. I must be in the right place at the right time.

Isn't that something? A koi pond affecting the sale
of the house? :-o

Wouldn't that be a hoot if the neighbors greet the
new owners with "Gee, this house used to feature a
beautiful Koi pond, shame it is no longer here."

Last year I got some fish and other stuff from someone that shut down his pond. I love mine, I can't imagine shutting it down for good and giving everything away.

I know I am really lucky and to have them lay eggs within two days!

I am floored that a pond would cause a NO SALE>...

What a wonderful thing to become the adoptive parents of
giveaway fish and plants, always a thrill for me, too.

Lucky you!

Perhaps ppl are intimidated by the work and or upkeep of a pond... ?? Maybe without fish in it ppl are more receptive to having a pond , just a thought.

I think it is because the back yard is small to begin with and the pond is 4' deep (too deep for little ones) and the rest is decks, covers, BBQ, a perfect place for someone without kids and like to entertain.
