Can anyone either offer, or direct me to a source that carries Brunfelsia americana seed? I have seed for B. jamaicensis (sp?), which I'd read is outstandingly fragrant--but then I read that B. americana leaves B. jam. in the shade (so to speak)!
I lost my list of tradeable seeds in a computer crash, but re-doing the list is high on my 'mandatory' agenda, so I will have offerings to exchange!
Brunfelsia americana seed
I ordered mine from Top Tropicals last week. I hope this helps.

Hello Targator,
Your recommendation is much appreciated but poorly timed: shortly after I posted the DG inquiry I too purchased B. americana seeds from TopTropicals; however, within the past year or so they've altered their shipping policies, and they no longer ship SEEDS to Canada. I find this mind-blowing because, for one: I don't know of any other US online plant/seed merchant who won't ship SEEDS anywhere due to fear of incurring significant border-crossing or international expenses (do you?). Shipping PLANTS, from anywhere TO anywhere outside of one's domestic borders can be wildly expensive--not to mention complicated: phytosanitary documentation, etc. (sadly, security measures have escalated worldwide since "9/11", as you know).
SO,
How did I get the seeds? I had TopTropicals ship to seeds to my mom in Brooklyn, NY---and she mailed them to me!
Hi Blue, for future reference, Chiltern's might be a good source for unusual seed. Here's their Brunfelsia page: http://www.edirectory.co.uk/chilternseeds/pages/moreinfo.asp?pe=DEBJFCEQ_+&cid=211
