Silkie, if nobody else can fix you up, I have some trade seeds of hair allium that I'd be glad to share. I stuck several crooked willow cuttings this spring, and we'll see how they do this next year... my mom has first dibs on any that make it through to next spring, but hopefully I'll have a spare for you, and if not I can stick some more cuttings in early spring (my mom, who is good at propagating these, says the best time to take cuttings is before the tree has fully leafed out).

I did recently put in a bunch of LOTV (thanks, gitagal!), but it's all white... wow do those blooms smell wonderful! I hope you find some pink ones. :-)

critter, i'd love to trade you for the hair allium seeds let me know what ya'd like for them. keep me in mind for the willow please i'd be happy with even just one cutting. as ya know i always have things to trade just never have time to list it all,lol so ask if ya'd like something i don't have listed i may just have it.
thanks,

Silkie, I'll be happy to just send them to you, no trade needed -- I've got too much started now as it is, LOL. I haven't actually tried to start them (ran out of space again, guess I should've wintersown them), so I can't guarantee their germination.

I've got half a dozen crooked willow cuttings stuck that look like they've struck roots, but as I said, I won't be giving away any extras until I'm sure that my mom has a good one next spring... she propagated my tree from hers, but nowI hers is declining rapidly, so she really needs a replacement (and she gets priority because she's my mom). :-)

I'm a little dubious about taking additional cuttings now, although it may be worth a try since the tree can spare a branch or two. I know you want one *now* and not next spring, LOL... although if I have good luck with the cuttings I took this spring, I may have a nice little sapling for you then. I think my mom grew my cutting on for a couple of years before she gave it to me, and it's grown into quite a good sized tree over the last 5 years. If your travels ever take you down this way (several major highways pass through Frederick, all quite close to our place), stop by and at least get a few branches to use in flower arrangements, even if it's the wrong time of year for viable cuttings!

I found your address in the exchange, and as soon as I dig out those allium seeds I'll send some on their way to you.

I planted some Lily of the Valley that I bought in a bag at Walmart... they were quite expensive for 7 of them... anyway, nothing came up! I am so disappointed. Would love to have some. If anyone has any to spare.. any color, I too would be grateful. Silkie, I did not mean to hijack your thread... this is your request but since people are already looking, I though t I would add my request since it is not exactly what you are looking for. don't want to step on anyones toes.

Thank you,

Tammie
