Skipper Butterflies

I am seeing more Skippers in my yard lately. Different kinds, too! They are really hard to tell apart because they are so close in appearance.

Here is an unknown species nectaring on my English Lavendar. I am always surprised to see butterflies using some of my plants because they are not listed anywhere as nectar (nor host) plants.

He kind of has the markings of a Delaware Skipper on his wings. He wouldn't let me get close enough for a better photo and the wind is blowing today, so ..........

I love the little skippers too, this is a Long-Tailed Skipper, I think.

Sure enough, Rox!!! I get them too and they are so cute!!! I can't believe how many difference species of skippers there are. They are definitely the Type A personalities of the butterfly world!
