These are my first ever hummingbird pictures. They move so fast (now THAT's an understatement!), it's hard to catch them and get it in focus, etc. I was happy I managed to get a few shots. I was surprised he stayed so long at the feeder, I was able to get my camera. He went back and forth from sitting on the garden fence to the feeder. Love watching the little guy.

I read in one of my hummer books that they can fly 60mph!

Jen I recently got a feeder like yours and was wondering how you like it. I had a terrible problem with wasps last year and this type of feeder is advertised as "wasp proof". So far the hummers seem to like it just fine and it sure is easy to clean.

Sofi,

I haven't had any wasps around it yet. We do have a lot of wasps around here, but they haven't found the hummingbird feeder. That's a good thing too because it's right on my back patio. My philosophy on the wasps is live and let live. The hummer seems to like this feeder. He was back today. I got it because it's easy to clean. I've got enough to do in life, right? Anyway, if anyone is wondering, it's the hummzinger 16 oz feeder. They also make an 8 oz feeder with less feeding ports.

Nice photos! Thrilling, isn't it???!!!
