My wife and I are putting in a shade garden and are looking for nice and unusual plants that don't just take over. We live on a mountain at 1700 foot elevation but also get the marine influence as we are only 4 miles from the beach. I like Hostas, Heuchera's, Viburnums, Flowering dogwoods (Cornus Mas or Cornus kousa), Trilliam, and Calla, But want plenty of diversity.
