Have: White Butterfly Ginger rhizomes and..

Clemmons, NC(Zone 7b)

I have at least 4 (will have to re-count) nice sized White Butterfly Ginger Rhizomes

Have 2 Cleopatra canna roots, already sprouting, this is the kind without variegation (sorry)

Have 1 well rooted baby of Curly or corkscrew willow

Have a few types of achimene bulbs (dmail if interested)

I will need to send these out this weekend.

I am looking for things on my list, hardy tropicals (pink or white cannas, especially, petasites, gunnera, crinums, unusual lilies, hardy gingers), ONE sum &substance hosta, rooted evergreen shrubs (tropical looking like camellias, hawthorn, etc), bouganvillea, fast spreading ground cover, or other unusual plants.

edited to add: I am also liking sedums, hardy salvias, perennials for shade/sun.

Thanks!!!

Hi Lavina Mae,

Raleigh is about an hour and a half to two hours (depending upon where in Raleigh). I appreciate the offer, maybe you guys should have a Roundup or something-lol

Grantsboro, NC(Zone 8b)

You are close I looked at a map.

I wanted to have a round up at our place at the coast. Couldn't seem to get many people.I will probably just see if I can get up a get together soon. Maybe July.
Do you know about Tomatopolasa ? Its in July.

Never heard of Tomatopolasa-Mr. Tropicanna (lol) loves tomatoes. Where is it?

We are from the coast, and I actually thought a Roundup would do well there. Woodspirit hosted one a couple weeks ago in Western NC at the Arboretum in Asheville. It was not a large group of people, but a great time nonetheless.

I don't know if you ever get this way-but when we pass thru Raleigh on our way to the beach, I can never get Mr. Trop. to stop anywhere cause the trip is so long. Maybe I can do the tomato thing and bring DD. :)

Lavina Mae, if you're out there, were any of the hostas you potted up "Sum & Substance"? We could still do a mail trade if you'd like

Grantsboro, NC(Zone 8b)

Yes I potted them last year and some have formed 2 in the pots. They are the green with yellow/lime borders. Got them at Plan's Delght's open hose a few years ago.

I have put plant-with roots in a box and mailed some to Calif. they got there OK.
You want to try me sending you some?

Lavina

Clemmons, NC(Zone 7b)

The gingers are going to be very cheap to mail cause they are light and not that big. I'd hate for you to pay twice the shipping-it sounds like they are big, but if you have a small one that might be more fair :)

Grantsboro, NC(Zone 8b)

I can take them out of the pot and leave a little dirt on them , put in baggy and little water and ship. Thats what I did to Calif and they arrived OK.

Lavina-do you know the hosta name? and I take it you like the ginger?

Grantsboro, NC(Zone 8b)

No, I don't know the name of it.
I have one verigated ginger but I really am not sure what its supposed to even do or how to over winter it.

DId you want someof the white butterfly ginger for the hosta? Butterfly ginger is hardy for me here near WInston-Salem, I know it is hardy for you also. :) Just let me know so I can get a package ready/print out a label for you.
