What should I name my 2 White Crested Black Polish bantams?

Fowlerville, MI(Zone 5b)

My 2 White Crested Black Polish bantams will be arriving soon, and I need some witty suggestions on what I should name them? Despite the fact that they are funny looking, no names have popped into my head, unlike the other two chicks that are coming too....

Because McMurray only offers a straight run, I guess I'll need both hen and rooster names... I'm hoping for one of each.

They'll be arriving with two more chicks (4 total) - (1) female Delaware, who I've named, "Hello Delie", and (1) female White Leghorn who I've named, "Pearl".

Thanks for the help everyone!! :-D I can't wait to see what you all come up with! LOL

Paw Paw and Pawlly are quite the handsome pair.

Is anyone old enough to remember the two silly black crows that were in the Saturday morning cartoons...........way back in th' day ? Their names were Heckel and Jeckel, and they were a silly mess. I used to love to watch them on Saturday mornings while I ate my Sugar Frosted Flakes. Although they didn't have the white crests, they looked a little like adolescent black polish's. And were just about as silly.

Those old cartoons would be waaaaay back in the old classics by now. My,..... how time does fly.

I always thought if I had Polish I'd give them Polish names, you know, Czeslaw, Jozef, Pawel, Zbigniew...

When we try to think of names, here, we look in a Thesaurus. So you could look under 'crest' or if you use 'polish' you'll get things along the line of shine and such. Or either one of the colors. Sometimes it tells you to look under something else, which gives you more ideas again.

Those are all great names!

I thought about Polish names but I don't know how to pronounce any of them...lol

Hey, remember the movie, Gigi? I know it's French - not Polish, but remember the big flamboyant hats the women wore in the movie? ...Looks a lot like the Crested Polish chickens' heads. If I end up with two hens, I could name them Eva & Gigi. (Eva Gabor was in the movie, Gigi, and Gigi was the main character's name.) ....What do you think, "dahling"?

...What about rooster names? ~~~ The only "little" guy I know who wore a funny hat, and had an "attitude", was Napoleon Bonaparte. ...Got any other ideas???

Don't forget Yosemite Sam.

Ha! I forgot about him!!.....

Fowlerville, MI(Zone 5b)

Great horny toads!
Yosemite Sam sure had an attitude too; always threatening, "I'm a-gonna blow you to smithereenies!"

That's a good one!....

That was Madeline Kahn in Young Frankenstein. :)

"Q Tip" is a nice name for the visual element. So are "Mop," "Plunger," "Duster," "Dandelion," and "Thistle."

See how bad I am......
I had to think hard to even come up with that....LOL

Fowlerville, MI(Zone 5b)

Thanks everyone!! You all have awesome ideas, and are much more creative than I am!

I must be "visually" oriented - the look or behavior has got to remind me of someone. Tina Turner and Don King certainly fit the bill. Both made me laugh outloud! I'll have to pass on Phyllis (Diller) - Phyllis is my Mom's name. LOL

....Hmmmm - Tina & Don. People would certainly ask me why I named them that. ;) ...That alone is funny.

Well, if you think of any more, keep them coming my way. It's quite the brain trust we have here at DG. I know I say this often, but it's true, you all are great! Thanks a bunch! ~~ I'll let you know if I end up with a hen/rooster, rooster/rooster, or hen/hen - and what their names are. :)

Yeah, I think you're right...

If I end up with a hen and a rooster - Tina & Einstein it is!!! That's PERFECT!!

....Hmmm... Any thoughts on two hens -or- two roosters???
