Today, May 8 it finally opened, what a treat. It was a surprise mixed in a bunch of Arum Italicum bulbs I planted last fall.

Yours is much earlier than mine, it hasn't started to make a spathe yet!

Now you will be hooked, they are intriguing things aren't they!

Yes, quite a novelty. Now that I have it, I'll move it somewhere else. When is the best time? After the bloom dies? What happens next? Will I get berries?

Full of questions here.

Cool Linda!!
It's beautiful. I'm awaiting mine to bloom also same as wallaby no spathe yet!
I'm hoping to have a monster sticker next month!!! LOL
I wouldn't move it till fall or when it dies back to the ground.

Thanks Kin, that's what I was thinking too.

I agree with that, they are sold in the autumn and need time to establish roots being early flowering.

I keep looking at mine and thinking there won't be a spathe this year, but it's bigger than ever! It has made 3 babies but I wouldn't think that would stop it from blooming.

I thought I was going to get berries last year but they didn't make. I had a couple of alien looking beetles spend the night in there at the bottom, then another different pair, but I think you would need two from a different population to fertilise them.
