Well, I had one spectacular spring showing for my first year of spring bulbs. Thanks to all who helped me last fall with ideas! It was awesome! Now it is over, and they are just green stems and such....what now? They look horrid and I want to plant annuals in the bed now. Should I cut them off at the ground? Or do I leaves them to die a natural death? Please please please tell me I can cut them back.
Oh yes....another thing, my crocus border never bloomed one darned bloom! Why would that be? Will they be ok next year? I did what y'all said and put in bloom fertilizer when I planted and fertilized when they were blooming and just today as well.
Thanks!!!! I promise to see if I can get the pictures i took on my cell phone uploaded to here.....

I'm all bulbed over......
No!!! Don't cut them back. The green leaves build up energy to create next years flowers. You can plant annuals and other things around and the "greens" just fill things in nicely! Good luck and have fun!

BTW...we loved all the different hyacinth, but also the tiny Tete-a-Tete Daffodil mixed up witht he Early Snow Glories were so pretty. The blue and yellow are pretty. I also liked the Ice Follies that someone recomeended as a good standby. I thought they were lovely. But my favorite had to be all the differnt tulips. I did all blues, purples and reds...WOW is al I have to say. It was nice.
