This is new to me but it seems like every one World Wide has something special to add to this garden site.
Isn't it time to set aside differances and stick with sharing new and different idea's. What a wonder it would bring World Wide.
Just an idea to think about.

Did i miss something here ???.
Well Alan, I guess I missed it, too!!
???????????????
I MUST have missed something or else I'm having another senior moment!!!!
Oh dear, not again???????
I don't have a clue, most of us have been having a lot of fun in the General Discussion Forum. Was it something earth shattering?????????????????
"eyes"
To answer a question for all. My comment was because I had been reading a message in the forum. And the person was or seemed unhappy that someone eles had left upset.
Not earth shattering, nor senior moments tho I do have them. I just think it would be great World Wide to get along.
Have a Great Day and thanks for all your comments on time to get along.
Pat
Still not clear what is going on, or what thread we are talking about.

Patricia were you reading old posts? There have been some posts that have upset people, the biggest of which was removed from DG. Since that time there have been 'minor' disagreements where people took the message the wrong way or just plainly disagreed. Some members are quite vocal and do vent and naturally not everyone agrees with a given point of view and that's the good thing about this site - it is diversified and encourages us to join in the discussion if we so wish. You will probably have noticed that even if a post does become somewhat heated, the majority of us still stick around here and the camaraderie and friendship remains intact. It would be a boring world if we were all made the same. Your sentiments are noted and I agree with you about discord. I'm always praying for peace whether it be local or worldwide and yes, we must try to get along and be more tolerant and understanding. I too hope you have a lovely day although our days here in Virginia are becoming more intolerant with a heat index in the 100s. Not really what this English lady is used to, but will persevere. God bless!!
Louisa, how is your landscaping doing in this kind of weather we're having? Did you get all your geraniums planted? I'm having an awful time trying to keep everything from drying out. I've lost one hardy geranium and potted the root clump to see if it will come back, and another one's outer leaves are drying up. I've potted that also. I don't know if it's the sun or shade that suddenly they don't like. I have different varieties that are doing fine. Doris
Hello Louisa my friend, we are haveing some wonderful British summer weather, its cold and wet, just like it normaly is lol, and i dont agree with anything you said at all, cos i dont have to, :-).
LOL Alan - that's my boy!!!! I could do with some good old "English weather"!! I don't mind if you don't agree with me - that's your prerogative. Have I spelt that correctly?? Doris I posted a reply to your query about the geraniums because I'm having the same problem. Did you see it? I will go and check it out right now :-)
Doris - you have not checked out your question on geraniums, so here is the thread :-
http://davesgarden.com/showthread/50817.html
Louisa, why ask me if its spelt right, i need a spell checker for my name lololol.
Hello fokes, I have nothing interesting to say as usual....(Alan don't you dear agree with me) but I thought i'd show my face. Ok, i'll be honest, I just don't want to at the bottom of Dave's rating lists!
Trina, as if i would, :-).
Louisa, thank you for that! I didn't remember where I originally posted. I answered on that one. It's 96 out, and I had to run out to see the names of the geraniums and what a shock! I could'nt even take a deep breath it was so hot! I covered my mouth and checked the plants and got in in a hurry! Your temps are a lot worse than ours! However do you cope? I think I'm looking forward to fall!
Doris I went out this morning before 7 to make sure the birds had enough water and we covered the pots of plants with burlap - sort of made a tent - otherwise they would be dead by now. I have several geraniums that still need planting and they are surviving in their pots in the shade right now. Some geraniums just cannot take prolonged hot summer days in the sun, some morning sun is OK. Here are some links that might help:-

P.S. Alan, I never knew you couldn't spell your name!!!!!

Louisa, all 3 of the links were great! I've bookmarked them for now until I learn how to use the printer! Now I can find which of mine like the sun and who doesn't without waiting until it's too late to do anything. Thanks so much for the help. Doris
I'm so glad they helped Doris and you are most welcome :-)
Lol louisa, why do think i kept it simple, AJC, and why is the side missing from your post ?.
I was looking at all my posts, and they all have, "edit this post" in little blue letters. No one else has these. Any one know why? Am I in disgrace?
i think you can only see YOUR "edit this post" letters. all my posts have them too, but you aren't allowed to edit MY posts, only those which you yourself make :-)
Thank you, killer, that explains it! I never could figure out what I did to get it when no one else did!
