Best South Florida nurseries?

Lexington, SC(Zone 8a)

I'm looking for some recommendations on South Florida nurseries (specifically anywhere off the I-95 area down to Homestead). My wife and I will be driving down from SC at the end of the month and thought we'd take advantage of the many nurseries/gardens and pick up a few tropical plants. I'd also like to visit a few palm nurseries. Of course, we need only commercial places since we'd be buying 1 or 2 plants at a time.

Any suggestions? Also, do any of these places work on Saturday, or just week days?

I did find this list online:

Anyone ever been or heard of Flamingo Plants,Inc?

I found there website and they seem to have a nice variety as well. They give a PO BOX though, so I'm not quite sure where they are located.

WOW there are so many nurseries here just south of Miami. We came up 997 today and have found some incredible deals on some tropicals. I cannot believe how much I have to pay back home in SC for the things sold cheap as dirt here. I could have purchased a 20' palm for the same price I paid for a 6' one in SC. I'm glad we rented a SUV for the trip, else we'd never get so many great new items home.

Paradise Groves (which I think has a new name now as noted in the link above) at 18800 SW 137th Ave. was a great stop.

Rockledge Gardens in Rockledge was also really nice. We'll stop back there on Tuesday heading home. I was surprised they could grow many of the palms they did in the ground that far north. It must be a micro-climate being that close to the east coast.
