Vista again

I would like to take the firewall out and shoot it. I have been told the firewall is not the only culprit.

So far I have to give permission to just about everything I do on the net including opening my ISP. I went to "help" on defender and supposedly there is an action key with the pop up that gives the option of all ways allow. No such key. Another annoying ditty is every page I go to I have to acknowledge that I am moving to a secure, unsecured, both secure and unsecured page. After about a half hour of this I'm ready to impale myself on a plastic spoon (the repeated attempts of suicide in such a slow manner would help take my mind off the firewall ) :).

Is there a real way to put an end to this nonsense.
