Any tips on growing this hoya would be greatly appreciated, esp. light and watering needs. Thanks. Karen

Man...that one is a big nemisis for me!!! I have a hUGE healthy plant growing outside in fairly deep shade where it gets rained on a lot...but often the water doesn't get to the soil in the pot...I forget to fertilize it...I forget to water it and it thrives. Almost all of the cuttings I started this spring didn't do too well because it was coldish and I kept them wet I think it likes bright indirect light and don't grow it too wet...rots easily. But then...what do I know about this plant except to kill it????? LOL

Sistah K I grow mine in filtered sun and don't allow it to dry out. I've had this one even bloom for me.

Karen, I have had pretty good success with this one - like Awanda, I've even gotten it to bloom (only once though). Here in the pacific northwest it is cloudy and rainy most of the year so I keep it right next to my east-facing window where it gets early morning sun. I do let it (accidentally) get dry sometimes, but not for very long. Good luck - it's one of my favorites!

I got this one from Carol 2 years ago and with all the neglect I gave it, somehow it thrived and bloomed 3 weeks ago for me. I think It does well on the dry side. I keep it with some direct sun in the morning. And yes......have had no luck rooting this one thus far.

I had moved this one out to the greenhouse with some of my others - and I don't think it likes it out there. After reading your posts, I think it's getting too much light. And I wonder about too much humidity - is that possible??? Thanks.
Karen
