Google Earth no longer coming up???

A few years ago, I downloaded "Google Earth.com"--the most amazing website to explore the Earth. Zoooom----zoooom----tilt---rotate----etc.
It worked fine for the few times I used it, but now it no longer wants to load. It starts to load--I can see the graphics--and then it kicks my computer in the reboot mode.

I run Windows professional 2000. I recently switched to Firefox. However, I don't think either of these have anything to do with it. This was happening before I switched to Firefox--if it is even relevant???

Does anyone else know what this Site may have changed to so I can no longer enter it? Did it get greedy and become a paid site? Does anyone have any information on this?

I still have the "shortcut" on my Desk Top. Seems it is no good any more!

If anyone knows about this site and why it has changed to this extent, i would like to know.
