Tulip "Ice Cream"

I saw this tulip last year as an expensive introduction on Brent & Becky's Bulbs website (and somewhere else too), but this year the price has gone up (5/$46 or 25/$196). Makes me wish I had bought them last year to sell this year! They are beautiful - anybody grow these last year?

I enjoy wierd, but these are a step too far for me. I, too, would be interested to hear someone's impressions of it. Is its novelty worth the $9.20 per bulb?
