If anyone is dividing any of these, or Cannas this year, I would love a few of your extras. I love all colors and varieties, so I'm not picky. My gardens are so embaressingly bare, I have lots of room that needs something, so any are desireable.
Can trade, but I don't have much to offer. Just Sedum, Autumn Joy. I am trying to establish a perennial garden, and am just starting out. So basically, all I have are very small starts and young plants that are too small to divide yet.
If you have any to share, I will be so appreciative and I can pay postage.
Keeping my fingers crossed, hoping someone will have extras :)).........
Thank you, thank you, thank you ! PeggieK

Winni

I can get some daffodils that I can send you for postage.
Bev.
I have a lot of double orange Kwansa lilies if you are interested, let me know..they must go out tomorrow!
JanetS, I would love to have some of them. Do want trade or postage ?
As mentioned before, I don't have much to trade, but you're welcome to what I have, which is Autumn Joy Sedum. Or I can send postage.
Just send postage...do you want a flate rate box? Let me know how many you want, I have tons, and they need to go soon...dug them yesterday, so I will be sending out as many as I can tomorrow....I will pack them in as many as I can if you want a flat rate box...I think they are 8.50 I am not sure...you may know more about that than I do..lol Are you in the exchange? Thanks for the offer of the Autumn Joy Sedum..but I don't need anything else to plant right now...here is a picture of how many I have, they are in a postage basket stuffed to overflowing and on paper around it...lol
janet...if you have extras i would love some for postage; i will email you:)
JanetS, Flat rate for $ 8.50 sounds great. I'll get it right out to you.
Question: how tall do these get ? Everything I've looked up says they are 2 to 3 ft. tall. Is that correct ?
My address is in the address exchange. I am assuming that yours is there too ?
Thanks so much. Will be looking forward to them. PeggieK
Flat rate box goes up today to $8.95 I just verified on the postal web site. What do these oranges look like? Are the invasive ditch lilies or just pretty orange lilies that multiply in the usual manner of producing more fans? got a picture?
Hey, Jan, are these the ones you were sending me?
Tammie
Janet
you have dmail
:)
Finally found a picture of them in bloom...lol This is the original clump I got many from to share and spread around my property. At one time I only had these daylilies so I now have them everywhere...I love them. But as you can see the ones here are fairly easy to contain..they have been there for seven years...I only get some out when I want to spread them around or share...and they are in very loose soil, so they are easy to rip out....when in bloom they are well over three feet tall...maybe even four or more...they make a nice color display!
They are lovely.
Thank you everyone for your generous offers. Everyone has been so nice to offer to share. I never expected such a generous response. Sure are a lot of nice people here on DG.
If you haven't heard back from me, it dosen't mean I don't want your bulbs, ..... because I can use all of them. But I may be getting close to the max I can spend on postage for this week. I still want them, if they will still be available next week.
I just need to let another pay day and my allowance roll around again. LOL.
Surely, I must be the only one who has to set limits on my gardening budget ????
I would spend it aaaaall on flowers and plants if I could just get DH to agree to that plan. He should have thought twice before moving us to a house with such a *b-i-g* and naked yard. See there ? I can turn it all around and make it his fault. Is that an addict, or what ? hehe
Since my budget is getting tight now, the one thing I would like to get for the next time would be bright yellow or soft pink iris. (Just a few. I can't do a whole boxful,
as now we're getting into DH's Starbucks allowance. hehe) Or maybe some hyacinths to go with the daffodils.
Again, thank you for sharing. You have made me a happy girl this spring. I love you all, and may God bless you with an extra beautiful bloom in the spot you left when you pulled out something to share with me. When my new flowers bloom, I will think of my friends here at DG, and know I've been blessed.
PeggieK........................... see me smiling ? > :D
You are very welcomed! Hope you enjoy the lilies! I got five boxes out yesterday all of them packed tight!
So next time I dig I will offer more...I have to more spots to clear for other plants....so if anyone else would like some I will post again when I have more. I think I sent some to everyone that posted or dmailed me.
janet...your lilies are gorgeous...but your home is really lovely...:)
janet...she is great...how old is the old gal? or is it a guy?
We bought her new...lol So eight years old.
oh wow....she looks like a home from the turn of the century...and that is a compliment...( i am an antique dealer).; i didn't know that they built new homes that looked like your home.....it is quite lovely..:)
Thanks, I really love it. I always liked the "older homestead" look. I love cape cods and Jamestown style. Mine actually is a Ranch, on a full basement. The dormers are open only to the large attic space that is unfinished...I do love the look though!
Looks lovely. Thanks for reminding us to take lots of pics while things are in bloom.
