clear up muddy water in pond

I've made the pondless basin and even after 2 washings my water in the stream and basin are very muddy. Is there something I can do to clear up the muddy water without removing all the rock around the basin pump and pumping it all out again?

Try setting up a sprinkler near the pond where the water will spray into the water. I find that after I sprinkle the plants my water is clearer also. It settles it for some reason.
