Looks like we'll we driving around the Adirondacks that weekend in a car club event. Maybe we should try to swing through Montreal on the way back.

What & when is the Great Gardening Weekend?
I just "googled" on Great Gardening Weekend, so now I know it is May 25 - 27, but the Program is not available yet, so I still need to know what goes on, please.
I've been meaning to get to that - maybe this will be the year! Have you ever been April4ON? If so, how did you like it? Would you say it would be worth a 2-1/2 hour drive? Don't know if I can convince non-gardener hubby. Hmm, what would be in it for him? (I may indeed have to make a weekend out of it! :-))

If I go, I will be flying WestJet from Toronto. No way will I be driving! Does anyone have any recommendations for Bed & Breakfast accommodations near the Jardins Botanique?
I went two years ago and enjoyed myself. I am only 1 hour from there so I went 2 days. There is everything there. African Violet Society, Bonsai Society, all the societies. Many growers. It is a nice opportunity to purchase rare finds.

I did a bit of Internet research and came up with several B&B's in the area, but before I could book anything our 20-year-old lawn tractor died and my hubby went out and bought a $4,000 replacement. The budget is shot to H***, so I will not be taking any trips for a while! Oh well, there's always next year... I will put a reminder on my calendar to give me plenty of time to plan my trip. It would be nice to go up to Montreal for a long weekend, to enjoy both the gardening events and the terrific shopping. Lucky you, living so close!
I mentioned it to DH and he said I could take the bus. Doesn't sound like he cares to detour through Montreal on our way back from a weekend in northern NY state.
Too bad you can't make it. I will try to take some photos.
April, The 2007 agenda still isn't up, but I took a peek at the 2006 event and it looks like there's lots to do! They mention lectures - do you know whether they are bilingual? The titles are in French only.

The lectures I listened to when I went were English. I hope they will be either english or bilingual. I don't speak french. I wish they would get the program up. Are you thinking about going?
April, There's a possibility, however, there's a family function that has been moved to the Saturday evening so it would just be Friday and I don't know if one day would be worth the trip :-( Gosh, this is the third year I've been trying to get there! Please take some pics and let us know how it was.

Well everyone,I didn't get to the show so I can not say how it was. Is there anyone who went able to let me know how it was. Next year for sure I will be there.
